Gumeracha Netball Club Inc

Gumeracha Netball Club focuses on skill-based training fostering team spirit, a sense of fair play and sportsmanship, whilst providing opportunities for individual development.

Welcome to the Gumeracha Netball Club web page.  Gumeracha Netball Club is a very friendly club and new members always welcome.

Our competition season is held during winter, from May through to September, with our first match held this year on May 5^th. All training sessions are held at the Gumeracha Netball courts in Federation Park, and match games are held on Saturdays at the Woodside Courts. We are also involved in Summer Netball, which is a more informal competition, also held at the Woodside courts.

Last year we fielded 9 junior teams and 2 senior teams. This year we have 10 junior teams and 3 senior teams. Due to the clubs growth we are looking for more volunteers to help with the smooth and effective running of the club and its activities.

Mid Hills Carnival is on Sunday 25 May 2008.
Don’t forget dollar day on 31 May 2008!

• The new bodysuits for U13 teams up. The cost is $110 per bodysuit.
  (Bodysuits and fees will be invoiced separately)

• U11’s and U9’s will still play in skirts and shirts
  Hire of uniforms is still available at $10 per shirt and $10 per skirt / per season
  (All hire uniforms remain the property of the club and must be returned to the coaches on the last match day
  of the season in good condition.)

• Black sports briefs and white 1 inch high ankle socks complete the uniform.

• Anyone who has not organised their uniform for this season, please contact Sue Harvey on 8389 1004.

Club History The Gumeracha Netball Club  was originally called 'The Gumeracha Basketball Club" and was founded in 1937. Games were played at various towns around the district including at our own home courts in Gumeracha. The club changed its name to Gumeracha Netball Club in 1971 and joined the Mid Hills Netball Association in 1980.

Subscriptions for the 2008 season are as follows:

Please note:

*The Club fee applies only once to each family,
ie. If you have more than one junior and/or senior player, you will only pay one club fee of $25.

The $20 deposit played at registration represents part of this $25.

**The junior payment fee of $10 was passed at our AGM this year. It represents part of a fee structure to pay all our umpires this year for every game they umpire – from U9’s through to U17’s.

Seniors, as in previous years pay their umpires fully through their own fundraising activities.
